Perception of stereotypes in advertisement by children of age 4 - 6 and 11 - 13

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the perception of gender stereotypes in advertising among children in two age groups, 4 to 6 years old and 11 to 13 years old. Children are considered more vulnerable to the effects of advertising compared to adults. This applies to the influence on purchasing behaviour, as well as to the acquisition of displayed content, for example in the case of stereotypes. The goal of the research was to find out if and how children in these two age groups perceive gender stereotypes in advertising and to compare these groups with each other. The research used interviews and selected activities aimed at different types of advertisements to understand the decision-making process based on them, to investigate how children replicate stereotypes in their own work and to understand what is significant for children in advertisements. The thesis also includes possible approaches and issues of a research with children and, last but not least, the ethics of this type of research. Based on the research, it was found that children in the younger group replicate gender stereotypes significantly more in advertising and in general, and they also use gender to defend their decisions and choices. This diploma thesis is focused on teenagers' life values (age 17-18 years) and summarizes results of a research conducted on this topic. The theoretical part gives an explanation of terms: young people, value, value orientation, authority, roles of life values in a young person's life. The empiric part searches for young people values and analyses intermediate results. The aim of this project is to focus on 17-18 years old young people's value system using a project method and to find out what values young people, taking part in the project, prefer. The theoretical part is focused on the axiological point of view of the term young people, society, young people influencing, authority. A project method was used for research in the empiric part. The project method was based on an essay. Students of 4 - year studying program of Gymnazium Opatov in Prague wrote an essay to identify their life values that were analysed and transformed into graphs as well.
Montessori methods of education and their application in teaching science

The theoretical part of the diploma thesis focuses on the importance of nature in the pedagogy of Marie Montessori. It points out the importance of using appropriate selected tools and the application of teaching techniques of Marie Montessori. It also focuses on the secondary education reform plan and provides examples of activities for students aged 12 to 18. In the practical part the tool inspired by Montessori pedagogy called Stromové pexeso was created. The tool is used for identifying tree species. The tool offers many ways how to use it. The methodology of working with the tool was verified in practice at the 2nd level of primary school and vocational school. The purpose was to find out the practical use of the tool and whether its using can affect the better memorization of the subject matter. The most students appreciated the use of the tool and it was discovered that playing with toll has a positive effect on memorizing the subject matter.
Impact of Subscribed Instagram Content to Self-acceptance and Self-reprezentation

The theme of this master thesis is Instagram - a social networking service and its impact on self-acceptance and self-promoting of teenagers. In the first place, theoretical part aims to describe concepts, that are linked with social networks, such as prosuming, participative culture, and Web 2.0. Furthermore, general approach regarding the impact of social networks on teenagers is introduced. The main subjects of this research are contextualized in the field of social networks. The thesis strives to introduce following topics: the presentation of a distincitve identity on social media, the self-reflection under the influence of the subscribed content, and the marketing exploitation of Instagram influencers. There are three main goals of the dissertation, as stated in a hypothesis part. Firstly, how are the participants of the research influenced by the subscribed content. Secondly, whether is the information stream they are following being reflected in their own Instagram presentation. And finally, what is the impact on the participants of the research in case of advertising activity represented by the Instagram influencers. Causes of property criminality of children and teenagers and possibilities of its prevention in the view of education and pedagogy

This thesis is focused on property crimes committed by minors and juvenile offenders. We try to find out the reasons for committing the crime and the influence of the initial social status of minors and young offenders. The aim is also to determine whether it is true generally accepted that the offenders of property crime among children and teenagers are mostly individuals coming from excluded and disadvantaged sections of society. And also to think about the possibilities of prevention of these acts of educational and pedagogical point of view. Because prevention is certainly one of the most important things in the fight against child crime. The thesis also shows the figures of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic, which document the development of child and adolescent crime whithin last five years.
Preferences of urban teenagers' leisure time spending: microculture of ?mall junkies? in the space of shopping mall

This thesis focuses on leisure time activities and places, which are prefered by urban teenagers for spending their leisure time. My first objective is to focus on a new trend in the sphere of spending leisure time of contemporary teenagers, thereby the passive leisure time spending in large shopping malls. Nowadays shopping malls are very fashionable places for realization of leisure time activities, not only among youth. Teenagers play the pivotal role in my work, because this group of population predestines - to a certain degree - the future evolution in a society. The main aim is to understand why teenagers spend their leisure time this way and find out, what leads them to the passivity in realization of their leisure time activities. What brings them this way of spending their leisure time and what is specific for the space of shopping mall, where they spend their leisure time. Changing uses of social media among teenagers

This bachelor thesis focuses on the connection between the preferred form of communication and psychological development of adolescents. This thesis assumes that there is a connection between the most used way of communication, with a special focus on social networks, and the developmental stage in which the adolescent is. By using a questionnaire designed for this work and quantitative analysis it finds out the reasons of the preferred form of communication and feelings associated with using this specific communication channel. This thesis also finds out which social networks are the most popular among teenagers and for what reasons. The results of this research suggest that there is a link between the preferences of the form of communication and the age of adolescents. According to the results, insecurity of the adolescents leads to higher use of social media.
